Extravagantly Frugal Friends In High Places

Not every retail store offers discounts to its employees, and good retail employee discounts are harder to get. A wise captain of retail and industry will do what he can to keep his employees as happy as possible. No one likes going through employees every few weeks. Many retails stores will have a high turnover rate. No one wants to stick in retail or food service long. Most people view the job as a way station to get to some place else they would rather be. Even though this is the case, a good employer can improve morale and encourage the employees to stick around a little longer by offering worthwhile perks.  One worthwhile perk for many is a discount on the merchandise.

A clothes store or a grocery store may find that this encourages employees to shop at the store. While their shopping at the store does not recover all of the money the store pays to pay the employer, it also shows the customers that the employees have faith in the store. An employee who chooses to shop elsewhere most people think would have a good reason for it. At least this is the case for the older customers of the store. It is not the case for younger people. The Greatest Generation had a work ethic which has gradually disappeared, much to the chagrin of employers and the decreasing population of World War II veterans.

However, the best employee discounts are also incentives to bring new employees to a store. Even though a clerk will generally find a way into a better, higher paying job if given a chance, there are always people who need to find their way into the work force.   These discounts can draw workers, both good and bad to your business. You cannot discover whether a particular individual is a good fit for your business until that person takes up the job. Even people who come off well during an interview do not always work well once they are on the job.

To find the best employee discounts, a  person looking for employment has to figure out which stores offer the best incentives on his own.  it does not take much research to figure this out and the company’s recruiters will give out this information to anyone who is interested.  Just make sure you are talking to a recruiter for the company and not for another well-established institution.
